About the Event
Corn chowder | Sweet velvet corn chowder garnished with corn fritters
Fried grits and shrimp | Crispy cheese grits, topped with sautéed Jumbo shrimp
Kitchen sink Salad | Seasoned mixed greens, with cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, sliced shallots, green beans, roasted corn, pecans, black eyed peas, carrots, golden raisins and radish with a creamy Italian vinaigrette
Smothered chicken leg and fried rice |French cut chicken leg smothered in onion gravy served with vegetable fried rice.
Braised 4-6oz short rib |With whipped potatoes and root vegetables
Apple turnovers |With butter pecan ice cream. And salted caramel
Kulture: Black Chef Table is dedicated to supporting the diverse culinary landscape, the vast spirit, wine, beer makers, and black-owned food purveyors by providing a space to cultivate, incubate and promote talent.
Each chef will bring their personal interpretation to seasonal ingredients, harvested from local African American farms, gardens, and food purveyors. Each Chef will tell their story and guide guests into the exploration of food and spirits rooted in the African diaspora.
These Chef collaborations will be designed to showcase African food influences spanning across the Caribbean, Spain, Asia, Mexico, and Southern delicacies.
